The company RAIKKA OYRaikka Oy, founded in Rauma in 1946, is a Finnish company manufacturing and trading machinery and pyrotechnical products. The company head office is situated in Helsinki and the industrial premises in Eurajoki, on the western coast of Finland. Raikka Oy's turnover is 10 M € with a general staff number of 45. Operations are divided between two production plants, the machine workshop and the explosive workshop. The synergy and co-operation between these factories strengthen the operation of the whole company, especially production and product development activities. The head office takes care of financial administration and foreign business communications. The machine workshop operates in the centre of Eurajoki as a contract manufacturer in metal concentrating mainly on CNC-turnery and milling. Medium-sized serial production parts are our speciality. The most important co-operation partners are machine- and appliance manufacturers, the defence industry and our own explosive workshop. The explosive workshop operates in modern premises in Lapijoki manufacturing charges, mechanical/electric/non-electric igniters and fuzes, pyrotechnical products and EOD -devices. We carry out hazard division and transport classification tests for explosive articles. Clients are defence forces, defence industries and security-area companies both in Finland and abroad. All the company operations are based on the quality management standards ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110, ISO 14001 -environmental management system and OHSAS 18001 -safety management system.
